The Urhobo Consultative Forum will launch the first edition of its Urhobo Leadership Series with Sen. Ede Dafinone of Delta Central as guest speaker during a virtual event set for July 28.
The event, themed “Redefining Public Service and Accountability: A Reflection on Senatorial Representation,” will take place from 8pm to 10:30p.m. West Africa Time and will be held via Zoom, with livestreams available on Facebook and YouTube. The initiative seeks to promote visionary leadership and civic accountability within the Urhobo Nation.
“This event is more than a reflection; it’s an opportunity to reconnect with the ideals of servant leadership and responsible representation,” said Abraham Ogbodo, chairman of the UCF Board of Trustees. “Senator Dafinone’s presence will provide critical insight into what effective public service should look like.”
The agenda includes a keynote address by Dafinone, a fireside chat and Q&A session, insights from Urhobo leaders and youth, and the official launch of the UCF Leadership Scorecard initiative.
Open to Urhobo people, cultural associations, youth organizations, and diaspora networks, the event marks the beginning of a quarterly series meant to inspire leadership and promote development.
